A Site Visit and a Sunday Picnic

We had a site visit at the Aquarium they're building in Qawra (Malta). What I found strange was that the dome thing photographed above was done in timber. Apparently though it's some kind of timber that's effectively made to resist the degrading effects of sea water and the sun.

We went for a picnic one afternoon in March. All of us pile up in my friend's Tata Sumo and went through an off-road bit just around the Radisson Hotel in Golden Sands and set up there. It was a lazy affair all in all but a much needed break.

A small detour to the bay gave us this amazing view.

Photographic Update

I've just noticed that apart from it being a while since the last time I posted, it has also been some time since I did one of my photographic updates. I admit, I haven't been taking as much photos as I would like. The thing is, I have nowhere to put them. I have 300 Gigabytes worth of photos on this laptop and the red bar next to my Local Disk icon is probably a warning sign that I should get some form of storage where I can put this great chunk of photos.

Furthermore, one of my assignments this semester is to take photos of Marsaxlokk, a fishing village sort of place that located in the South of Malta, which makes things slightly problematic with regards to storage. Anyway, with that being said, I have a few photos I took on a visit there. Also, there are more to come. I'm going again this week to shoot a couple of panoramas so you can expect a few of those too.

Also, I'm trying to be more creative with regards to editing. I don't use pre-set filters as such, only combinations of gradients and lighting adjustments. I still have to find what I like and what works for me though.
